Authority Liaison and HSE Manager

Reporting to the Vice President, Heavy Oil Project, the Authority Liaison and HSE Manager will be responsible for coordinating all Authority-related activities:

• liaising with external stakeholders including government departments, NGOs etc.
• ensuring that all authority requirements are understood and adhered to within the project team
• overseeing the timely completion of UK permits by the relevant operations departments
• establishing and monitoring HSE and quality assurance systems
• maintaining records, conducting audits and reviews

Successful candidates will demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of and experience in UK Authority requirements and approval processes, EU regulations (particularly environmental) and the political agenda. They will also demonstrate extensive experience in UK oil & gas development and operations, and a talent for building strong relationships with internal and external departments.

Good communication and cooperation skills, a pro-active and structured approach to work and the ability to work independently are essential for the position.
