Assuring that operations conform to plans and are being carried out safely,
efficiently and economically. To manage manpower, rigs, material supplies
and stocks, resolving difficulties which could otherwise delay drilling
progress. To ensure contractor personnel, services and material, are
available at rigsitewhen required so to avoid any delay in operations. To
supervise drilling and completion operations carried out by Company's and Contractor's
personnel at rig site. To coordinate drilling and completion activities in
accordance with programme, Company procedures and best practices. To report
to the drilling/completion superintendent on a regular basis regarding the progress
of operations and agree on any corrective action if necessary. To monitor
the consumptions and stock of materials available at rig site, and request personnel,
materials, and services in due time in order to avoid any delay in the
operations. To represent the Company at the rig site in all matters. To
ensure that drilling and completion operations are carried out in safety,
with good oilfield practice and in accordance with programme and all the
relevant Company standards and HSEQ procedures.
Candidate Specification:
Engineering degree with extensive years of experience as a Drilling
Supervisor. Must be fully conversant with policies, procedures and codes of practice
relating to drilling, workover and completion operations and their use.
Fully conversant with well kill methods including relevant calculations and
the use of well control equipment.
