About the position

Maersk Oil is seeking a commercially minded Facilities/Cost Engineer for the Exploration & New Business Department. The department has an International focus and the candidate will be exposed to a wide variety of projects in Maersk Oil's worldwide portfolio. The group is primarily concerned with stochasticlife-cycle commercial evaluation of exploration projects, new business opportunities and portfolio analysis.

You will be working in the engineering group in the technical Services section of the department, as well as in cross-disciplinary exploration teams. You will be engaged in:

  • Determining fit for purpose, life-cycle facilities development concept(s) for exploration prospects
  • Carrying out conceptual engineering to size capacities and main components of the facilities for cost estimation
  • Estimating costs for the facilities and wells (capex), and production operations (opex) for concepts developed
  • Establishing schematic full-cycle tie schedule, which comprises main exploration, appraisal, development plan, construction and development drilling activities in collaboration with the exploration teams
  • Setting up input parameters for life-cycle stochastic economic models
  • Preparing documentation for the selected concepts
  • Participating in technical presentations
  • Participating in further development of innovative technologies
