CHC Norway AS is a part of the world’s largest helicopter company, CHC Helicopter Corporation, wich represent a force of 300 helicopters and 4000 employees in 31 countries. Our core activities are offshore – flying and training of pilots and technicians. CHC Norway AS has been operating on the Norwegian continental shelf since 1966. The company transport annually approximately 600 000 passengers to and from offshore installations from its bases in Stavanger, Bergen, Florø, Kristiansund and Brønnøysund. In addition we operate advanced search – and rescue helicopters at Oseberg, Heidrun, Statfjord and Ekofisk.

About the position

To support the financial management related to all activities in CHC Norway AS, we need a commercially focused individual who is ready for a new challenge.

Primary function:

Responsible for the overall management of the Financial and Management Accounting functions within the company, with emphasis on commercial support to the Managing Director and the provision and interpretation of accurate financial management information to CHC Europe headquarter and the Corporate Group.

Key accountabilities:

You will be a key member of the Norwegian management team. You will perform quarterly financial planning and forcasting, and oversee production of monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts and tax compliance. With your commercial approach, you will identify and champion business and profit improvement opportunities. Being the manager for the local financial team, you will supervise the team and implement financial controls and procedures. You will also have the responsibility for the overall planning of activities within the section, ensuring that resources are deployed in an efficient and cost effective basis

Qualifications and core competence:

We prefer a certified accountant with extensive knowledge and experience of all aspects of Financial and Management Accounting. You will have a commercial approach and a business improvement outlook. You are eager to deliver the company’s key business drivers from both an operational, process and commercial perspective.

In your daily work, you benefit from strong planning and organisational skills. You will have excellent interpersonal and communicational skills, and well developed supervisory skills covering all aspects of staff management.
