Position: Contracts Engineer ( Drilling and Construction)
Contract Period: 2 years renewable
Location: Mainly KL Malaysia
Closing date: 22 March 2010
Job Description:
Incumbent will have high involvement with other divisions, vendors and other customers to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Changes to services, procedures or contracts will affect service delivery, performance and cost so the specification and management of change control is an important aspect at this level.
Incumbent will also be involved in issuing company contractual policies recommend and make independent decisions with broad guidelines and refer complex issues with recommendations to management for decision.
Key Tasks:
- Formulate and prepare own function strategies ,policies and recommend practices and objectives
- Resolve contract terms or specification disputes and manage any contract modification issues
- Approve and issue reports to management on contractual matters recommending course of action
Requirements:
- Minimum10 years experience in Oil and Gas on full EPIC projects ( not conversion, upgrades)
- 5 years in supervisory role
- Technical knowledge of tendering and contracting techniques, auditing, thorough knowledge of local ( Persian Gulf) and the international codes and standards pertinent to tendering and contracting, communication and conflict management skills.
