University of Western Australia associate professor David Hodgkinson said at the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association Conference on Tuesday that an alternative way to addressing the climate change problem would be to break the issue up “into different pieces”.
“(That means) a shift away from a top-down Kyoto-style architecture for international climate action, to a more bottom-up approach to smaller agreements between particular states and sectors.”
