SPE Workshop: Oil and Gas in the East Med - From Geology to Commercialisation

Start: 12.09.2018

End: 13.09.2018

Venue: University of Nicosia | Nicosia, Cyprus

The discovery of more than 150 trillion cubic feet of natural gas offshore Egypt, Israel, and Cyprus creates game-changing possibilities for transforming the Eastern Med into a major natural gas supplier and energy hub. Testament to these efforts has been the presence in the region of companies such as Total SA, Exxon-Mobil, ENI, Rosneft, Qatar Petroleum, Shell, Noble Energy, Kogas, and others. As natural gas becomes increasingly more important in a carbon constrained world, the Eastern Med will assume more prominence.

This workshop will explore exciting topics such as the geology of Zohr-like carbonate plays, drilling issues, reservoir engineering, pipeline projects, technological advances, HSE matters, and potential synergies.

Attend this workshop to broaden your understanding of these ideas and processes, as well as hear industry practitioners share and discuss challenges, best practice, and technological advances.
