Chief executive Paolo Scaroni said the Italian major also plans to invest around $50 billion in Mozambique where the company recently made its largest ever gas find.

Scaroni, speaking on the issue of good governance, social responsibility and sustainability at the World Petroleum Congress in Doha on Thursday, claimed that Eni’s commitment to using flared gas to provide local communities with power was even a factor in being awarded the lucrative block 4 off Mozambique.
