There are entitlements that landowners enjoy as part of the PNG LNG umbrella benefits sharing agreement including a production royalty, a free 2.78% equity participating interest in the project and an opportunity to buy up to 4.22% of the state’s equity.
The royalty benefit of 2% is provided by the state to landowners, affected provincial governments and local level governments.
