Floating on a wave of interest as players deepen their reach

The floating production fraternity has had to negotiate some very choppy waters at times in the last two decades.

Since Upstream’s launch in 1996, there has been an almost exponential growth in the use of floating production, storage and offloading vessels — not so fast for other floating production units — inspired by new technology, increasing confidence in floaters within oil companies and the industry’s advancement into deeper and deeper water.
