India is expected to emerge as one of the few bright spots for battered global offshore drilling contractors in the short term, as players such as Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Reliance Industries push ahead with offshore projects.
ONGC’s director for technology and field services Shashi Shanker says the state-controlled company will likely increase its rig count over the next few months.
