A total of 156 wells have been drilled by GEECL at the Raniganj South block, of which 150 have been fracked. The company has long-term plans to drill up to 300 wells in the CBM block.
“We are likely to start drilling the remaining 144 wells probably by next year through a fresh drilling campaign,” says Prashant Modi, the GEECL chief executive.
