The asset package includes 27 wells producing an average of 24 million cubic feet of natural gas per day, primarily from the Utica, as well as 37,000 net acres in Columbiana County, Ohio and Beaver County, Pennsylvania.
Ohio-based Geopetro has focused on conventional production in the state to date, but said the latest acquisition will shift the focus of the company to shale projects.
