The Greek government has appointed Yannis Bassias, an experienced industry hand, as president and chief executive of Hellenic Hydrocarbon Resources Management (HHRM), the country’s upstream oil and gas industry regulator.
Speaking to Upstream recently at the Petex 2016 conference in London, the day after his appointment was announced, Bassias outlined how he will aim to revitalise Greece’s oil and gas sector in his five-year term by creating an organisation with deep knowledge of the country’s hydrocarbon attributes.
