BP expects to firm up the contract for engineering, procurement and construction of its Mad Dog 2 floating production unit, sanctioned last week, as soon as its partners give their stamp of approval to the $9 billion project.
The UK supermajor last week announced its own internal go-ahead for the project, where costs have come down from more than $20 billion.
