Dallas-based Energy Transfer Partners has asked a US federal judge to overturn a decision made this week by the Obama administration to block construction of the hotly contested Dakota Access pipeline, writes Caroline Evans.
In documents filed on Monday in a Washington federal court, Energy Transfer argued permission to complete the pipeline had already been granted by the US Army Corps of Engineers, which on Sunday denied the company an easement to tunnel under Lake Oahe in North Dakota to complete the pipeline.
