Dallas-based Matador is acquiring 4600 net acres in Lea and Eddy counties in the Delaware sub-basin of the Permian for $62.5 million.
The asset package included mineral rights to 475 acres and 1150 barrels of oil equivalent per day of production. Analysts praised the move, noting that the per-acre price of around $4500 is well below that of other recent Delaware basin transactions.
