Venezuela’s state-run PDVSA said the countries will link offshore gas fields in Venezuela’s Mariscal Sucre area, including the Dragon field, to the Shell-operated Hibiscus platform in Trinidad, which will travel through a 66-mile (106 kilometre), 24-inch pipeline to the Atlantic LNG facility in Trinidad. The pair are studying a second possible connection from Guiria on the Paria Peninsula in Venezuela to the Point Lisas Industrial Estate in Trinidad.
