Oklahoma City-based Devon said its Thistle project showed it could stack wells in both the B and C intervals of the Leonard on its acreage in the Delaware sub-basin of the Permian in New Mexico.
The two Thistle wells each tested at average rates of 1800 barrels of oil equivalent per day (75% oil) from 7000 foot laterals at an average cost of $6 million per well.
