Petrobras was scheduled to receive bids this week for a pilot FPSO to be deployed at Libra, but well-informed sources said the state-controlled company agreed to extend the deadline by a month, to 16 January 2017, at the request of some invited contractors.
Upstream understands Petrobras invited close to 10 floater specialists to bid for the Libra floater, but only a handful — Modec International, SBM Offshore, BW Offshore, Bluewater and Bumi Armada — are seen as likely to submit an offer, sources said.
