A court in Aracaju, capital of a small state with no direct interest in any of the cases filed, has granted injunctions to union leaders blocking sales by Petrobras of several assets.
In parallel, the federal audit tribunal (TCU) has ordered Petrobras to suspend its entire divestment programme and carry out a review aimed at boosting transparency and providing a stronger framework to ensure competitive bidding.
