It has spent about $3.7 billion to access a share of 25 billion to 30 billion barrels of oil equivalent resources in Abu Dhabi, 30 trillion cubic feet of gas held in Eni’s play opening Zohr gas find off Egypt, and operating interests in six exciting blocks off Mauritania and Senegal where 25 Tcf of gas has been found to date — more is expected — with plenty oil potential.
