Talks over a collective bargaining agreement came to a halt last week when the company’s Fort McMurray, Alberta location locked out 15 unionised mechanics over a strike threat.
An agreement had seemed imminent until the issue of one employee — who was more senior and experienced — earning more than others cropped up.
