Nicolas Bonnefoy agrees that his idyllic childhood on the French shores of Lake Geneva offered little preparation for the rigours of later life as a tough negotiator and oil lawyer in West Africa.
Born in Annemasse in 1974, Bonnefoy and his family later moved to Lyon, where he settled until graduation from the city’s law school at the tender age of 23, winning the prestigious award of Magistere Diplome de Juriste Conseil d’Entreprise in tax and business law.
