Donskoy said that Rosneft committed to pay a total of 7 billion roubles ($117 million) for the Nazymsky and Ay-Yaunsky blocks, which are estimated to contain about 700 million barrels of unconventional oil reserves.

The minister said state-controlled Gazpromneft and privately-held Lukoil did not bid for the blocks.

Rosneft was the sole bidder for the Ay-Yaunsky block, while at the Nazymsky block, Rosneft had to compete with an alternative development proposal submitted to Rosnedra by West Siberian Investment Consortium.
