The Oslo-listed vessel owner is looking to bolster its position in the floating storage and regasification unit sector through the new organisational structure, which sees chief technology officer Vegard Hellekleiv appointed chief operating officer of the new division.
The company currently has six FSRUs and a pair of liquefied natural gas carriers in operation, with two more FSRUs under construction.
It has ambitions to have a total of 12 FSRUs in operation and under construction by 2019 as it also looks at vessel conversions.
