Mexico has not yet finalised its regulatory regime to handle unconventionals, and Renaissance as an early mover has aimed to play an active role in submitting best practices through its work with the Amexhi trade association for new private companies in the country, according to chief operating officer Carol Law.
The company has had its technical experts including Nick Steinberger — credited with helping shale player Pioneer pin down slickwater hydraulic fracturing in the Barnett shale — craft a detailed “white paper” set to be submitted, to include detailed international best practices.
