Hurricane Energy has spudded its latest well — called Halifax — to test the potential of fractured basement reservoirs in its Greater Lancaster area in the UK West of Shetland area.
The 205/23-A well was spudded on 15 January by the Transocean Spitsbergen, which has carried out a successful appraisal campaign for Hurricane on the nearby Lancaster discovery, also making the Lincoln find late last year.
