The probe was drilled to a total depth of 6760 metres, and came across a productive interval in Tertiary trends between 6078 and 6353 metres, according to information from the National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH) oil regulator.

It was drilled by the Grupo R semi-submersible Centenario in 1599 metres of water.

The result is a boost for the target initially probed by the Cratos-1A discovery, which came across gas and condensate in late 2015 and has been identified by Pemex as a candidate for a farm-out to a private operator.
