The two-well discovery — drilled in early 2016 in the Brookian Nanushuk formation — was made in the north-east portion of the NPR-A at the company’s Greater Mooses Tooth (GMT) Unit.
Early estimates suggest the asset could contain more than 300 million barrels of oil. The Tinmiaq 2 well saw a 12-hour test rate of 3200 barrels per day of oil.
