The liquefaction player said this week it had signed lease agreements with state and municipal authorities for a 1000-acre site at Shoal Point to develop the proposed multi-billion dollar plant.
Texas City, which lies about 40 miles (64 kilometres) southeast of Houston, owns almost 376 acres at Shoal Point, while the Texas General Land Office manages the adjoining 618 acres of state land.
