The UK-based player has offered its partner K&S Baltic Offshore $279 million for its half share of Seaway Heavy, with up to $40 million more to be paid within four years depending on performance targets.
Seaway Heavy is based in the Netherlands and operates the two heavy-lift vessels Stanislav Yudin from 1985 and Oleg Strashnov from 2011. The company has been busy installing offshore wind farms and oil and gas platforms in areas including Northern Europe, the Middle East, India and Mexico over the past decade.
