Spanish operator Repsol has taken a decisive step at its US$1.1 billion Ca Rong Do oil and gas project in Vietnam by selecting its preferred contractors for the two main production facilities.
The Ca Rong Do development includes a a tension-leg wellhead platform and a floating production, storage and offloading vessel.
For the tension-leg wellhead platform, sources said Floatec has been selected ahead of Japan’s Modec as the preferred contractor.
