Natural gas will soon emerge from the sidelines of China’s energy industry as the government develops plans to use it as the country’s major power source.
The government is rolling out a major reform through several schemes, such as allowing private companies to explore and develop gas acreage, using market forces to set the gas price and opening up gas infrastructure to third parties.
