The US operator said it recorded a $24 million after-tax charge in the fourth quarter of 2016 related to an expected cash settlement for a contractually-required redetermination of its working interest in the field in Block K.
The redetermination is expected to reduce the company’s net working interest in the field and is pending the approval of national oil company Petronas.
