Partnership in frame for Mad Dog 2 subsea jobs

A partnership of Subsea 7 and OneSubsea is in pole position to secure the crucial subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines and subsea production systems contracts for BP’s Mad Dog 2 development in the deep-water US Gulf of Mexico.

The players have been in a tight race with rival TechnipFMC for the high-profile job for the UK supermajor, which saw those competitors shortlisted for the work late last year, well-placed sources have said.
