Pakistan is forging ahead with the fast-tracking of new liquefied natural gas imports with yet another floating storage and regasification unit on the way.

US supermajor ExxonMobil, France’s Total, state-owned Qatar Petroleum, Mitsubishi of Japan and Norwegian contractor Hoegh LNG are collaborating with Global Energy Infrastructure (Geil) of Turkey for an FSRU that will be deployed at Port Qasim, near Karachi.
