An 18-wheeler owned by a third-party contractor burned after a “mechanical issue” at Apache’s Alta location, a spokeswoman said.
“There were no injuries reported, and the well at the location was shut in as a precaution,” she said. “Apache activated its crisis response plan, and the fire was extinguished without incident.”
The well was producing at the time, but there were no activities ongoing at the site, Apache said, adding that the well was back on line “within a few hours” and that no Apache property was damaged.
