PNW LNG becomes a major issue in British Columbia’s elections

A major liquefied natural gas export project backed by Malaysia’s Petronas has become a central point in upcoming provincial elections in the Canadian province of British Columbia.

John Horgan, the leader of the New Democratic Party in the province, put the proposed Pacific NorthWest LNG project back into the spotlight last week when he suggested the terminal’s main site on Lelu Island was poorly chosen and, if elected, would deal with the issue as premier.
