Australia’s BHP Billiton has started initial talks with at least one contractor on development ideas for the Trion oil discovery off Mexico, where last year it won the rights to partner Pemex in the state-owned company’s first joint venture.
It is understood that KBR subsidiary Granherne has engaged in discussions with BHP, potentially with an eye on offering its GVA hull designs.
