The partners will carry out further studies before filing a development plan and making a final investment decision.
Wintershall has previously said it aims to get Skarfjell on stream in 2021.

Wintershall has handed over its concept decision for the Skarfjell project off Norway to the government, aiming to get the oil and gas field on stream as a subsea tie-back to the Gjoa platform.
