Hess executives said drillship Stena Carron recently completed a well test at Payara, located about 16 kilometres north-west of ExxonMobil’s billion-barrel Liza discovery, and were very encouraged by the reservoir’s production characteristics.
Executives at Hess — a partner in Liza and Payara — said the new find could be developed as a satellite to the planned Liza FPSO or as a standalone project.
