The touted 3 million tonnes per annum FSRU, which sources said would likely be deployed off Dawei, could be operational as early as 2018, according to a Thai government official.
Meanwhile, PTT chief executive Tevin Vongvanich has confirmed that the state-owned company plans to progress with the Nong Fab LNG import project in its native Thailand. Vongvanich said that the Thai government has given its approval to the Nong Fab terminal and PTT is now looking to start construction in 2020.
