The ExxonMobil-led owners of the Papua New Guinea LNG project have renewed confidence in a multi-train expansion following a reserves upgrade at their existing fields plus the discovery of the significant Muruk gas play.
The reserves upgrade came about following an independent review by Netherland Sewell Associates that added 2.3 trillion cubic feet of gas to the existing PNG LNG project fields’ recoverable resource base.
