The co-owners of the Elk-Antelope gas complex in Papua New Guinea are targeting the end of 2018 for a final investment decision on a field development, writes Russell Searancke.
Co-owner Oil Search said the PNG government renewed the petroleum retention lease (PRL 15) over the Elk-Antelope fields in December 2016, and the conditions of the renewal included progressing towards front-end engineering and design, and project sanction, prior to the end of 2018.
