“Because they know that LNG is the fuel of the future, their best bet is to partner with PNOC similar to what is practised in other countries, particularly Singapore,” said PNOC president Ruben Lista.

The proposed project would involve an LNG floating storage regasification unit plus a 200-megawatt power plant.

Another three players, including one from Singapore, are said to have also expressed interest in PNOC’s planned integrated gas project.
