The reason for their alleged exclusion from fresh work is that companies outside the industry are reportedly worried workers will quit and head back to Aberdeen once the oil price recovers.
As a result, not only is the industry continuously cutting jobs, but the ones who have been axed are now being stonewalled by recruitment agencies actively excluding candidates based on their clients’ requirements, reports have claimed.
