Statoil's senior management has been summoned to a meeting early next month with the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) after the agency released a scathing investigation report into the near-disaster that occurred on the drilling rig Songa Endurance at the Troll field last October.

The PSA has asked the Norwegian state player’s top managers to attend a meeting in early March regarding what the agency calls one of the most serious well-control incidents on the Norwegian continental shelf (NCS) since Statoil’s Snorre A incident in 2004.
