The political and military stalemate between Libya’s parallel governments in Tripoli and in the east has been partly broken with the emergence of a new faction in the east that appears to be ready to work with the United Nations-sponsored authorities in the capital.
Libyan crude production fell by 35,000 barrels per day because of the latest unrest, but remains near the recent high of 700,000 bpd.
