Iran has received many proposals from international oil companies that have carried out field studies under memoranda of understanding signed last year, and is preparing to issue tenders in the near future, according to Gholamreza Manouchehri, National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) deputy managing director for engineering and development.

The most advanced proposals have come from Indonesian state company Pertamina, Denmark’s Maersk Energy, Japan’s Inpex, France’s Total, Russia’s Zarubezhneft, Austria’s OMV and India’s ONGC Videsh, Manouchehri said.

One
